Sport version Apple Watch 8 gets a new design | Tech

The sports version of the Apple Watch 8 gets a new design. That reports news agency Bloomberg Monday based on internal sources. The shape of the smartwatch would change.

Bloomberg-journalist Mark Gurman writes in his weekly Apple newsletter that the sports version of the Apple Watch Series 8 is getting “a fresh design”. It would be the first time since 2018 that the Apple Watch gets a new design.

It is not yet known exactly what the smartwatch will look like. The clock wouldn’t be rectangular like the Series 7, but it wouldn’t be circular either. Gurman states that the sports watch “will be a lot bigger than the standard version”. This makes the screen 7 percent larger, so that the fitness data can be read more clearly.

Apple has not yet made an official announcement about the new Apple Watch. The company usually does this in September. It is possible that the new wearables will have a thermometer so that they can determine a fever. Furthermore, the sports version would get a stronger housing and screen of reinforced glass.
