LeBron James overtakes Karl Malone in record list
09:47 o’clock: Despite 38 points from star player LeBron James, LA Lakers suffered a 127-119 loss on Saturday visiting Washington Wizards in the North American professional basketball league.
It was the Lakers’ tenth loss in their last 12 games. They remain ninth in the Western Conference for now, with one win more than number ten New Orleans. The ninth place entitles you to a place in the jump-offs for the play-offs. Washington is number 11 in the Eastern Conference.
Thanks to the 38 points, King James climbed over Karl ‘The Mailman’ Malone to second place on the all-time top scorers list. Malone closed on 36,928 points, LeBron James now has 36,947 points to his name, good for an average of 25.3 per game. Top scorer Kareem Abdul-Jabbar scored 38,387 points during his career. “That record is of course a dream for me, but at the moment I don’t want to think too much about it,” James said after the game.
