The trading association Sport 2000, which belongs to the ANWR Group, announced its growth plans for the Absolute Teamsport concept on Thursday. After 17 sports retailers joined the format last year, there are now 23 Absolute Teamsport stores in six countries, Sport 2000 said in a statement. By the end of 2023, the number should now be increased to 35.
“The last year was enormously important for our further development. With the many new top ‘Absolute Teamsport’ partners, we are on the right track to becoming Europe’s largest teamsport specialist,” said Alexander Löbe, Managing Director of Absolute Teamsport and Teamsport Division Head at Sport 2000, in a statement.
In addition to new stores in existing markets, Absolute Teamsport also opened its first branch in Switzerland last year. This will soon be followed by a second one: “With Absolute Teamsport Taurus Sports, the opening of another store in Kloten near Zurich is already planned for the first half of 2023,” explained the retail association.
