Sport 2000 GmbH has appointed Bert Verdijck as the new country manager for Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg (BeNeLux).
Verdijck succeeds Terence Abrahamsen, who is leaving the company “of his own volition to face new professional challenges,” said the sports retail group on Wednesday. He reports directly to the management of Sport 2000 GmbH. Previously, Verdijck was already responsible for the Belgian market, now the Netherlands and Luxembourg are joining them.
“We are very pleased to have won Bert Verdijck for this important position. With the merger of the three countries under the leadership of a country manager for the sports sector, we will continue to push our internationalization in the five-country association and roll out our strategy and our formats even more consistently,” says Dominik Solleder, Managing Director at Sport 2000.
