Few rock bands can sound as light as intense as Spoon, and it is just as rare for a guitar band to have a singer who sings as soulfully as Britt Daniel. Spoon has been able to give a pleasant lightness to their songs for almost thirty years now. Even on their tenth album Lucifer on the Sofa singer Daniel may seem desperate, but he expresses himself more as a soul singer than as a rock god.
