In the Protestant Genezareth Church in Neukölln, couples can spontaneously say “I do” from 11 a.m. today. The idea is for couples to be married in a church in an uncomplicated way. Around 25 couples have registered for the “pop-up wedding festival”.
“Everything is prepared so far,” said Pastor Jasmin El-Manhy from the blessing office of the Neukölln Evangelical Church District. The organizers have wedding dresses ready for couples who want to get married spontaneously.
