Sherida Spitse has extended her contract with Ajax by three years. The 32-year-old midfielder will be in Amsterdam until the summer of 2025. The record international has been playing with Ajax Women since the beginning of 2021.
Spitse did not hesitate for long about a longer stay in Amsterdam. “I really want to play for Ajax and win prizes. I don’t have the championship yet, that is my ultimate goal,” she says on the club website. “Maybe I’ll play for another five or six years. I don’t want to attach an age to it and first have to see what I like. Being head coach of the Ajax Women once is something beautiful.”
