Have you always wanted to know what it’s like to be on stage as a dance DJ? You will soon be able to experience it in the city center of Breda, where the DJ Experience will open at the beginning of September. With an audiovisual spectacle you can experience for yourself what it is like to be a world-famous DJ.
The initiator is William Watts from Breda who as ‘experience director’ devises entertainment formulas for attractions in inner cities and shopping cities. He calls his city dance capital of the world, because this is where top DJs like Tiesto and Hardwell come from. So no better place to get a experience open than in this city.
William came up with this idea during the corona pandemic. Then he still had to find lenders to make his dream come true. With crowdfunding, subsidies and lenders, he finally managed to find the 1 million euros he needed.
In the building where until recently there was a coffee bar, work is still being done on the DJ Experience. Enthusiastically, William shows the bar, which is clad in gold and which contains expensive bottles of champagne. In the DJ world of glitter and glamor it is even very common to take a shower with a bottle of exclusive champagne, says William.
Whoever enters will be allowed to check in first and choose a DJ name. Then you go completely into the world of dance. From the dressing rooms to a DJboat, where you can run yourself. That is then projected on a wall and you will receive a video of that later. You can also have a photo taken as a DJ for Instagram.
There is already plenty of interest in the DJ Experience. William says that there are especially many requests from China: “They are crazy about karaoke there.”
The attraction will open in mid-September. Always exciting to see if there is enough interest in it. William firmly believes that his concept will succeed. “You can sail a boat here in the summer and go bowling or to the cinema in the winter, but there is no such thing yet.” William is even thinking of expanding: “Within a few years I hope to open a branch in Antwerp as well.”
