The singer cannot confirm the rumors of a Spice Girls comeback.

Mel C has to contradict her colleague Mel B, who in January hinted at a joint project between the five band members – even Victoria Beckham should be part of it.

“I can’t confirm that anything is planned”

Scary Spice (aka Mel B) told The Jennifer Hudson Show last month that the five women were “definitely working on something.”

Now Sporty Spice Melanie C has to disappoint the group’s fans. She told UK magazine The Sun that the Spice Girls’ chances of a comeback are slim. “I can’t confirm that anything is planned, but we are talking about different possibilities.” However, the musicians’ busy schedules and different interests make it difficult to set up a joint project.

The reunion is probably just Mel B’s wish

Mel C explains why her colleague has already spoken of a planned return of the girl group: “Melanie likes to manifest things and she thinks that if she says something often enough, it will happen.” So it was all about her own wish by Mel B and less about an already planned Spice Girls project.

It is not surprising that many fans of the band want a comeback. To date, the Spice Girls are one of the most successful girl group acts from Great Britain. Their debut single “Wannabe” topped the charts in more than 30 countries and is considered the best-selling girl band single of all time.
