Beijing (AP) – At the Olympic Winter Games in Beijing, the final in the men’s mass start will take place without German speed skaters.
Felix Rijhnen from Frankfurt/Main missed the final as 14th in his semi-final. He should have finished in the top eight for the final. The seventh place of Patrick Beckert from Erfurt over 10,000 meters remains the best result for the men of the German Speed Skating and Short Track Association (DESG) at the Beijing Games. Rijhnen finished 13th in the 5000m in his Olympic debut.
