Spectacular turnaround in cross-country skiing

Spectacular news in cross-country skiing: Frida Karlsson, Maja Dahlqvist and Linn Svahn are returning to the Swedish national team for the coming season.

The trio had retired from the team last year and instead trained privately – a much-discussed decision. The reason for this was, among other things, differences with the national association. Now comes the turnaround.

“We made it very clear what we want back. We feel like they’ve been working with us all along. That’s why we’re back, it feels great,” Dahlqvist told Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet. quoted.

Svahn spoke of a “good sporting agreement”. “We can be a little more involved in what we’re going to do in the future,” said the ski hunter.

“We want to take advantage of the situation we’re in because we have a very strong women’s team, so it feels like it’s a really good position to be back,” added Karlsson.

“It’s the best national team in the world”

The decision met with great approval in the national cross-country skiing team. “I don’t think we’ve ever seen a better women’s team in Sweden,” said national cross-country team manager Anders Bystrom, pleased with the return of Karlsson, Dahlqvist and Svahn.

“It’s the best national team in the world,” said sprint relay world champion Emma Ribom. The World Cup season in cross-country skiing starts at the end of November in Ruka, Finland. The performances of Karlsson, Dahlqvist and Svahn will then be watched with excitement. The Swedish senior team consists of eight runners.
