Spectacular duel with seven goals (!) against FC Dordrecht yields Young Ajax full loot

An insane match for Young Ajax visiting FC Dordrecht. The rain of goals only stopped with seven goals. The U21 made four, taking home the three points: 4-3.

The first chance was an immediate hit for the young Ajax players. Sontje Hansen put the ball back on the penalty spot, after which Christian Rasmussen shot hard at goal. His effort was changed by Kristian Hlynsson, who was credited with the goal: 0-1. He appeared to get in the way of goalkeeper Liam Bossin, but those claims were brushed aside.

After just over half an hour, the Schapenkoppen equalized from a corner. Samuele Longo gave Dordrecht the decisive tap from a corner kick by Anouar El Azzouzi: 1-1. Just before half time it even became 2-1 for the home team. At the far post, Jaymillo Pinas headed the ball in against his old team. Goal scorer Hlynsson shot the ball hard on the post from a free kick in injury time.

The fans had just found their place in the stands again, when Rasmussen already scored the equalizer: 2-2. Dordrecht didn’t have time to recover from this tap, because Hansen even made 2-3 not much later. Young Ajax turned it all around within a few minutes. Dordrecht did not give up yet and a better phase began for the hosts. This is how Samuele Longo tested goalkeeper Tom de Graaff. That turned out to be a harbinger, because Mathis Suray scored brilliantly with a long shot: 3-3.

The fire then appeared to end in a draw. That changed when Hlynsson made it 4-3 for ten minutes. He scored on an assist from Youri Regeer. It was tense after that, but the three points were for the young Ajax players. With the win, the promises rise to tenth place. The next match for Ajax is against FC Den Bosch.
