Special return of basketball star Kim Hartman after a rehabilitation of almost three years

It was almost three years of suffering for basketball star Kim Hartman. In 2021 she suffered a serious knee injury. After a very long rehabilitation, she finally made her return last Saturday in the match against Den Helder. “I thought for a long time that I wouldn’t be able to play basketball anymore,” Hartman said.

The match against Den Helder was largely dominated by Hartman’s return. There were several banners for Hartman and the family was present who of course wanted to see how Hartman’s return went.

Successful return

In the match against Den Helder, Hartman started on the bench. Soon she entered the field and scored her first score. Normally she is not outspoken, but visibly emotional she hugged her fellow actors. “Then I had to hold back the tears. I didn’t expect to play in the Premier League. I’m so happy that it worked out,” Hartman looks back.

The match was evenly matched for a long time, but in the fourth quarter Landslake Lions outpaced Den Helder and won the match 77-59.

Support

Co-star Tanya Bröring is in the same boat. She also has a serious knee injury and hopes to make her return for Landslake Lions after Christmas. “I think I know what this means for her. I am very proud of her that she has achieved this,” said Bröring.
