Many choose to eat away from home on important dates such as Easter. Others prefer to gather in a house but not have to cook. For both types of families we select the best options for lunch, dinner and to buy and take away.
On Holy Thursday and Friday you can celebrate with home flavors and typical Buenos Aires recipes in La Capitana (Guardia Vieja 4446). In a special way, vigil empanadas, garlic prawns, Roman hake with mixed puree and seafood paella will be offered there. As its name suggests, this restaurant pays homage to Evita Perón through paintings, stained glass windows, decorative details and music of the time.
You can also spend Friday the 7th at Alo’s Bistro (Av. Blanco Encalada 2120, Boulogne), delighting yourself with a luxury proposal. The renowned chef Alejandro Feraud will offer a menu of steps paired with an exclusive selection of wines from the Rutini winery. It consists of bonito empanada; seaweed gnocchi with anchovies, anchovies and watercress; black hake with bagna cauda mushrooms and hazelnuts; and French toast with fried milk ice cream and figs. Finally, petit fours and a petit Easter egg will be served for $20,000.
L’adesso Ristorante (Fray Justo Santa Maria de Oro 2047, Palermo) is a classic of Italian cuisine in Buenos Aires and its chef, Leonardo Fumarola from Pullé, will prepare a special lunch to celebrate Easter Sunday. It consists of an authentic antipasti with porchetta alla romana, stracciatella with arugula and confit tomatoes, pizza di Pascua, eggplant and fish in Saor involtini; a main that can be lasagna napoletana or fettuccine with ragu’ of lamb; and for dessert, a pastiera with gelato al cioccolato. It has a value of $8,800; there will also be a children’s menu for $4,500.
To celebrate Easter in a warm and at the same time modern space, with homemade and fresh recipes, you can visit the Biutiful bistro (Cuba 1935, Belgrano). For $5,000, his proposal consists of a roasted vegetable skewer or an egg stuffed with prawns as a starter; a salmon salad or a pork loin with fine herbs with honey & orange sauce and broken potatoes for main, profiteroles for dessert; and a drink of your choice between water, soda or a glass of Nieto Senetiner wine.
Fish is traditional during these dates and sushi fans can take into account the proposal of SushiClub (Alicia Moreau de Justo 286, Puerto Madero, and other branches). This April 9, they will offer a 30% discount on any of the 30 or 45-piece combinations, starring classic pieces, hot rolls, vegetarian options and signature creations with sweet and sour touches. The benefit will be available in all its stores, only with prior reservation.
On Sunday the 9th, at the Equilibrium restaurant (Virrey Loreto 3520) they will offer two lunch menus, specially designed for the occasion. One of the options includes shrimp and avocado tacos; kabutia panzottis with port cream; and chocolate ganache with crunchy caramelized nuts and American, for $5,800. The other brings golden fennel with pears in honey; pork bondiola with malbec; and the same chocolate ganache for dessert, for $6,100. Reservations by WhatsApp at +54 911 2545 5654.
At The Pizza OTL (Caseros 424, San Telmo), Easter is celebrated with a special edition sweet pizza, inspired by the flavors of the celebration. Ideal to consume as dessert or snack.
