“The Nordmann is simply the most needle-resistant tree. So if you want it to stand for a long time, it is really ideal.” And what about a fake tree? De Jong has to laugh a little. “I understand if people have an artificial tree. But I often hear that people say that they should get a real one again because the artificial tree falls out more often. And it just smells much nicer, doesn’t it?”
As early as previous corona years, people will not bring the tree home this year. “Then we were really not allowed anything at all, so we wanted to have fun in the house even faster,” says De Jong. Still, the trend to bring it in early seems irreversible.
