Katir, winner of silver in the 5,000 meters at the Athletics World Championships last year, says he is innocent. “In some of the errors reported by the AIU, I was available at the place, date and time I specified.”
The 25-year-old athlete stated that he was not guilty of using banned substances or deliberately evading doping controls. “I will defend myself before the competent authorities.”
Katir is seen in Spain as an important contender for an Olympic medal in Paris next summer.
