The lawyers of Congress of Deputies have rejected in writing the admission for processing of a bill of law of the GNP to limit the inviolability of the king, pointing out that this proposal is contrary to the legal regime contemplated by the Constitution in this matter referring to the Head of State.

In their brief, the Congress lawyers point out that this bill “invades the existing constitutional reserve regarding the essential elements of the Crown defined in Title II of the Constitutionby claiming a normative development contrary to the legal regime of the inviolability of the Head of State”.
