Spain’s whiz kid: FC Bayern is bringing in Zaragoza’s offensive talent for next season

RB Leipzig probably wanted him, but FC Bayern got him: The Spanish offensive talent Bryan Zaragoza will play for the record champions from summer 2024. The record champions also have other Spaniards in mind.

FC Bayern Munich is strengthening itself for the new season with Bryan Zaragoza (22) from FC Granada. According to media information, the transfer fee should be 15 million euros. The Spaniard will receive a contract until June 30, 2029, as the record champions announced.

Zaragoza is considered Spain’s VTOL

According to reports, Bundesliga rival RB Leipzig also wanted the left winger as a successor to Swede Emil Forsberg, who moved to the sister club in New York in the winter. The English Premier League club FC Brentford was also considered interested.

Zaragoza, who is only 1.64 meters tall, made his debut for the Spanish national team in October and is considered the league’s fastest starter of the season. Zaragoza, who can also play in the center, has played 51 competitive games for Granada so far. He scored ten goals and three assists – five goals and two assists this season alone.

More Spaniards in the sights of the record champions

But Zaragoza is not the only Spaniard that the Munich team should have on their list. As “BILD” reports, the record champions want to sign a central or right-back. According to the Spanish portal “Relevo” it should be Arnau Martinez. The U21 international, who can play in the defensive center or at right back, is currently playing for the Spanish surprise team FC Girona. The Catalans are currently La Liga leaders Real Madrid’s closest rivals. Martinez has made eleven league and cup appearances this season. Like Zaragoza, he should be signed for the summer.

The same applies to Martin Zubimendi. The 24-year-old midfielder is currently impressing at Real Sociedad San Sebastian. Zubimendi feels comfortable in central midfield as well as in the six position. He could be the “holding six” required by Tuchel. His contract runs until summer 2027. With a current market value of 40 million, a transfer shouldn’t be cheap. However, there should be an exit clause of 60 million. According to a report in “Sport BILD”, FC Bayern is thinking intensively about pulling this.
