In northern Spain, a winter storm left about 500 vehicles, including many trucks, stuck in a 30-kilometre-long traffic jam on the highway between Soria and Ágreda, in the Castile and León region, on Friday evening. The army was mobilized to get the occupants to safety amid heavy snowfall and freezing temperatures. This was reported by the public broadcaster ‘RTVE’.
