Spain rises to seventh place, the best record in its history

The Spanish women’s football team has climbed two places in the FIFA ranking and is in seventh place, the best record in its historyahead of England and Brazil.

FIFA published this Friday the first classification of 2022 after the celebration of 146 games, with the continuity of the United States as leader, and with the rise of Spain in the top ten positions after becoming runner-up in the Arnold Clark Cup, played in England.

Among the first places Sweden continues in second position and closes the gap to be just over 22 points behind the United States after its success in the Algarve Cup and France is now in third place, after relieving Germany, which did not add any victory in the Arnold Clark and is now fourth.

FIFA highlighted the great rise of the Philippines, a team that improves ten positions (54) and is the one that has added the most points (+53.26), with its results in the Asian Cup, which has served as qualification for the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand 2023, in which the Filipino team will participate for the first time.
