Ex-Federal Minister of Health Jens Spahn is working on a book about his experiences in the corona pandemic.

“The question of what the pandemic has done to the country and what that means for the 1920s has occupied me for two years,” said the CDU politician. “I will deal with this question in a book.”

The title of the book is intended to take up a well-known Spahn quote: “We will have to forgive each other a lot: How the pandemic has changed us – and what it teaches us for the future.” The book is to be published on September 28th.

At the beginning of the pandemic, Spahn asked for understanding for difficult political decisions in the Corona crisis. In the Bundestag he said “that we will probably have to forgive each other a lot in a few months”. In addition to politics, there will also be a phase for society and science in which one realizes that one may have been wrong in one place or another or that something needs to be corrected, he explained at the time.
