SP senator Kox accused of ties to Russian secret service

The Tilburg SP senator Tiny Kox is accused by investigative journalists of ties with the Russian secret services. A Russian spy named Kox as an advocate for Russia in the Council of Europe. That writes the research collective of the Russian dissident Mikhail Khodorkovsky.

Kox has been President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe since January. He could not be reached for comment.

Investigators at the Dossier Center say they have obtained documents from Russian spy Valeri Levitsky. According to the researchers, he manipulated various chairmen of the parliamentary assembly to put them in the hands of Russia. The Tilburger “could arrange it” if the Kremlin wanted something, spy Levitski said.

Under Kox’s leadership, Russia was expelled from the Council of Europe last spring for its invasion of Ukraine. But earlier the SP tried to keep the child of concern on board, the research collective says.

Voting rights Russia
When Russia was suspended in 2014, he is said to have made a case for giving the country back its voting rights. He also secretly advocated other Russian interests. Reason for Moscow to do its best to get Kox appointed as chairman, according to the researchers.
