Helsinki Seagulls is celebrating the first championship in the club’s history.

Helsinki Seagulls won the first men’s Korisliiga championship in their club history
The championship was secured in the sixth final on Tuesday. In that, the Seagulls were sovereign right from the start. Kauhajoki’s Karhu Basket fell behind when the Seagulls went into halftime with a 48–26 lead.
The final numbers were recorded for the hosts from Helsinki with points of 91–66. The best scorer in the final match that decided the championship was the Seagulls Jeffrey Carrollwho sunk 22 points.
The Seagulls were founded in 2013 and debuted in the Korisliiga the following year. The climb to the top was quick. The Seagulls already have four WC bronze medals and one silver medal in their trophy cabinet.
This spring, the team got into a great mood. It experienced its first losses in the playoffs only in the final series.
