The Dutchman is catching up with Monegask in the World Cup position

MIAMI – Max Verstappen has won the very first edition of the Miami Grand Prix. The Dutch driver of Red Bull Racing started the race in P3, but had caught both Carlos Sainz and his major competitor Charles Leclerc within 9 laps and eventually rode sovereignly to victory. Naturally, he does good business in the standings for the World Cup title, although the Monegask did come second. His Spanish teammate from Ferrari completed the podium in the US.
