A southern white rhino was born in Pairi Daiza. One of the park’s two female southern white rhinos gave birth to an adorable baby weighing about 35 pounds. That sounds a lot, but it amounts to less than 2 percent of the weight of an adult male animal. It is the fifth birth of the endangered species in the zoo in Hainaut.
