A National Women’s Volleyball Team defeated South Korea 3-0 in the first match of the first week in the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) Nations League 1st Group.
Having passed its first test in 2023 in the FIVB Nations League, the crescent-star team faced South Korea in the first match of the 1st Group at Antalya Sports Hall. Both teams started well in the match, which attracted great interest from the audience.
Dominating their opponent in the first set, “Sultans of the Net” reached a 9-point lead (11-20) towards the end of the set. Even though South Korea tried to stop the National Team with blocks, the crescent-stars, who did not make any mistakes, finished the first set 25-14 ahead by 11 points.
Starting the second set quickly, South Korea closed the gap after a 4-point lead and regained control of the game. The National Team made fewer mistakes in the remaining part and finished the second set 25-17 superior.
Crescent-Stars won the third set, in which both countries scored mutually, 26-24 with their effective play, and the match 3-0.
Nationals will face Serbia in their second match at 20:00 tomorrow.
