Sophie Hilbrand is back on the air with her talk show in the evening of NPO 1. She no longer alternates the presentation with the shady Khalid Kasem, but with his mentor and replacement Jeroen Pauw. Before the show they always announce their guests in a video on the socialsand Sophie does that even when she doesn’t have any makeup on yet.

While someone like Angela de Jong (47) explicitly forbids being filmed if she is not yet wearing foundation, Sophie (48) has no problem with that. And that’s pretty brave, because most TV stars don’t want to appear without makeup on. After all, they often look slightly different.
Sophie is being put through the wringer on the social media of her talk show. Not because of her make-up-free appearance, but because she almost started crying on Monday because her buddy Khalid was taken off the program. “Have you finished crying yet? 😂,” asks a certain Ronald, for example.
Huge difference
The person who will have shed the most tears over this issue is Khalid, who is now sitting at home unemployed. And he’s not exactly missed. For example, Parool columnist Bart van Zoelen thinks his replacement Jeroen Pauw is much better…
