Sophia Thomalla shares a statement from Marteria’s wife

Even after the current allegations against her ex-boyfriend Till Lindemann, Sophia Thomalla still stands by the Rammstein frontman. The 33-year-old has not yet spoken out about the latest allegations (several women accuse Lindemann of sexual abuse, and there is also talk of some kind of sex recruitment). But she now shared a statement from the musician Jadu Laciny, who was on tour with the singer for several weeks in 2020 as a support act for Lindemann’s self-named second project.

In the statement, originally published as an Instagram Story, Laciny (who is married to rapper Marteria but living apart from him) explains that she never realized that “anybody was being drugged or [jemand] was forced to drink”. Everyone present could leave whenever they wanted. “Some women were present more often during the tour and I spoke to many and no one ever reported or mentioned anything strange,” says Laciny.

She herself is “very sensitive to MeToo debates” – however, it often happened that “many women on this tour communicated quite openly why they are and want to be here”. This is evidence of self-determined action and is therefore not a problem.

“One of the warmest people I know”

Laciny firmly protects Lindemann: “Till himself is one of the warmest people I know, whom I have been very close to and trust for a long time”. She never experienced the singer as pushy or assaulted – “On the contrary,” writes Laciny.

When Lindemann’s first allegations surfaced — a woman claimed that Lindemann drugged and abused her with knockout drops in Vilnius — Thomalla vehemently denied it. “This ‘incident’ in Vilnius never happened!” she said — and claimed: “This is fictitious by a person who wants to gain fame for five minutes on the back of a rock star. I don’t give a stage to a self-proclaimed victim, nor do I support it for a second”.
