Sony and Honda start a new company together, which is provisionally called ‘New Company’. The joint company will be officially established later this year and the collaboration still has to be approved by the authorities.
The new Sony and Honda company will design and sell the electric cars, but will not own any factories. Honda will make the cars at its factory, while Sony will develop a services platform and make it available to the new company. Sales would start in 2025.
