Sons who stabbed father in Houthulst remain arrested

Last week, a 51-year-old man from Houthulst got into a violent argument with his two adult sons in the driveway of his home. During the argument, one of the sons took a knife from his car and stabbed his father several times with the weapon.

The man was hit in the back, lungs, abdomen, face and legs and lost a lot of blood. He was taken to hospital in critical condition. The two sons were arrested for attempted elder murder.

The council chamber in Ypres decided on Tuesday that the two remain in custody.
