Sondre Guttormsen was in trouble in the Oslo Diamond League.
Norwegian pole vaulter by Sondre Guttormsen24, got mixed up on Thursday in Oslo’s Diamond League.
In another attempt, a 581-man man’s stick slipped from his hands during an aerial flight well before the bar. The situation looked dangerous, but the lithe man fell to the mattress.
The third attempt went even more to the cheek when the athlete aborted the attempt during the aerial flight. He dropped half a meter from the edge of the mattress, feet first, and did a somersault. Even from this situation, the Norwegian seemed to survive without injury.
Guttormsen is this European champion with a score of 580 from the Istanbul Indoor Games. Armand Duplantis was not involved.
This season, the Vuonoma maakari has jumped to a record of 590.
In Thursday’s Diamond League, the man ends up in 6/10 place with a score of 571.
Sondre Guttormsen’s younger brother Simen Guttormsen is also a pole vaulter. He was also in the Bislett stadium and remained the event’s jumbo (540).
