Nowitzki triumphed with the Dallas Mavericks in 2011 – now, 14 years later, Hartenstein follows with Oklahoma City.

In an intensive seventh game of the final series, the team of the center, who grew up in Quakenbrück, prevailed against the Indiana Pacers with 103: 91 (47:48) in the night from Sunday to Monday and thus secured the decisive fourth victory. Even before the cup was handed over, the fans in the hall tuned the queen classic “We are the champions”-shortly afterwards the team stretched the trophy in the confetti rain.

“I don’t know why he is sleeping, but I guess it is not loud enough,” said Hartenstein in one interview that can be heard about the loudspeakers of the hall. He encouraged the audience to make mood – possibly to wake up his son. The fans immediately started to cheer loudly. But Hartenstein’s son did not want to wake up, continuously slept.

As a result, this even called Kevin Durant on the scene. The American world star of the Phoenix Suns commented on X: “The little Hartenstein is exhausted.” He set three laughing emojis behind it. “Congratulations, OKC,” added the 36-year-old and congratulated the title.

Romi Bean, moderator and reporter at CBS New Colorado, also wrote on X: “I laugh myself. Hartenstein’s child is afraid that his father has just won a championship.” The sports journalist Jeff Eisenband also spoke up. “Isaiah Hartenstein’s son will celebrate the Thunder title in the morning,” he commented.
