Aino Norrintytär performed in the singing contest in Old Norse for a reason.
Saku Tiainen, Nelonen
Riihimäkeläinen known from this year’s The Voice of Finland Aino Norrintytär is today Sonja Kailassaari and Janne Grönroosin as a guest in Efter nio by Tema & with Femi. In the interview, he talks about his special way of life, the cornerstone of which is bringing history to life. For Norrintyttar, it means the Viking Age. Even in Voice, Norrintytär performed in Viking-era clothes she made herself and sang in Old Norse.
It is more than a hobby. Norrintytär feels that she is most herself when she lives in the Viking Age. He is fascinated by the challenges of the era.
– Modern life is terribly easy. Now when I say this, someone gets angry, Norrintytär will say it on TV.
However, he gives examples of what he means. The Vikings’ water did not come out of the tap as hot or cold as desired. They didn’t even have a water toilet, and medicine was comparatively weak.
Norrintytär lives in both modern and Viking times. He lives in an apartment building, but owns a tent where you can easily get into the Viking atmosphere.
– When I get to live a Viking life for a while, everyday life feels easy. Everyday life doesn’t feel so heavy after that.
The Voice of Finland culminates this Friday in the finale at Nelose. Norrintytäri, who has already been eliminated from the competition, will not be seen on stage. His song can still be heard in the future in connection with viking shows. In his own community, his role is to be a so-called skald, i.e. singer and storyteller.
Efter nio today at Teema & Femi at 21:00. The Voice of Finland on Friday at 20:00 on Nelose. See all TV programs and broadcast times in Telku’s TV guide.
