“Someday it will be enough”

After the 5: 3 (4: 1) home win against FC Augsburg, national soccer player Serge Gnabry from Bundesliga leaders FC Bayern Munich has defended himself against the criticism that has been increasing in recent times.

“Sometimes I find it a bit too blatant, of course,” said the offensive player of the German record champions after the 5-3 win against FC Augsburg on the TV channel “Sky”. “But now I can’t resist every comment or statement that comes on TV. It’s a bit part of the deal.”

Bayern star Gnabry on criticism: “Doesn’t always make the most sense”

Among other things, Gnabry had to take a lot of criticism in January for his trip to Paris to a fashion fair in the middle of an English Bundesliga week. Teammate Leroy Sané had also recently been in focus after his poor performance. In addition, the 27-year-old is not always on time.

When asked if he felt he was being treated unfairly, Gnabry said: “It’s difficult to say, I think at some point it’s enough, if two people are blamed for a series, that might not make the greatest sense to me.” As an athlete you have to be able to deal with it. However, it is not always nice to hear criticism directed at you personally or at a teammate.
