“Donne – Life – Freedom »: is the slogan that women are shouting to the world to support Iranian women. A slogan accompanied by a symbolic gesture: the cutting of a lock of hair. Darya Majidi, engaged through Women 4.0 in digital transformation and female empowermenthe turned a video where she and the other women of the association cut their hair, as a gesture of solidarity and closeness to the Iranians.
Born and raised in Iran, for many years in Italy where she specialized in Artificial Intelligence, Darya Majidi founded Women 4.0 to fight the digital gender gap and promote female empowerment. In recent weeks, faced with the courageous protest of Iranian women, he took to the streets risking his life, after the killing of 22-year-old Masha Amini, arrested for not wearing the veil correctly, and then of Hadis Najafi, Nika Shakarami and many others, in women all over the world have stood up for the rights and freedom of Iranian women, making this symbolic gesture of cutting the lock of hair.
And while we await news on Alessia Piperno, the travel blogger locked up in an Iranian prison, significant initiatives are multiplying, such as that of the Milan Triennale and the MAXXI of Rome where they are collected and locks that will then be sent to the Iranian embassy in Italy.
Women 4.0: more devices for Iranian women
Women 4.0 add to the cry of the othersappeal “A device for every woman”, because they are aware of the precious role that the network can play in such a dramatic moment in conveying information. Never before has digital technology been able to play an important role as a lever for personal and professional growth.
