The unmanned spacecraft Solar Orbiter reached its closest point to the sun on Saturday. According to the European Space Agency (ESA), the probe has now approached the Sun within about 48 million kilometers in its elliptical orbit. The Solar Orbiter has been traveling through the universe for over two years now.
