It seemed so beautiful two years ago, when the first starters moved into the new Startmotor residential complex in Rotterdam South. The apartments – or rather: studios of a maximum of 39m2 – fell under the social rent limit and residents could use facilities such as a cinema, fitness room and roof garden. A small side note: for those facilities a considerable amount of service costs still had to be ticked. Result: the monthly rent still approaches 1000 euros.
