After five defeats in a row, the Berlin Bundesliga club deservedly won 3-0 (1-0) at home against TSG Hoffenheim and left the direct relegation zone with the premiere win in 2022.
Magath, who was ill with Corona, watched the game from his quarantine in the hotel and was represented by his assistant coach Mark Fotheringham, saw Hertha significantly improved in terms of tactics and attitude. The goals came from Niklas Stark (39′), Ishak Belfodil (63′) and David Raum with an own goal (74′).
