Shooting with Anja Plaschg aka Soap&Skin for Musikexpress in 2018

Actually, Anja Plaschg aka Soap&Skin wanted to give two concerts in Germany this spring – presented by Musikexpress. Unfortunately, like so many other concerts, they now have to be postponed due to the ongoing corona pandemic. They are now scheduled to take place in September instead of March.

The Austrian Plaschg has released three albums as Soap&Skin. ME editor Stephan Rehm Rozanes wrote in 2018 about her current album FROM GAS TO SOLID/YOU ARE MY FRIEND: “You hardly dare to approach this music, especially not with mean words. It seems so intimate, opening freely, that one is surprised at its sheer availability. Leafing through someone else’s diary probably doesn’t feel half as brazen as just listening to the third album by Anja Plaschg aka Soap&Skin.”
Plaschg is also active as a composer, producer, film and theater actress. In 2016, for example, she played one of the two main roles in Ruth Beckermann’s “Die Traumete”. The film is about the almost 20-year correspondence between Ingeborg Bachmann and Paul Celan. Plaschg’s voice can also be heard on the title song of the German Netflix series “Dark”, “Goodbye” by Apparat. Most recently, she appeared alongside Dirk Von Lowtzow: in a duet with him, she sang the Tocotronic song “I dive up” and also played in the video.
