The suspension of AZ player Dani de Wit is still maintained. The KNVB announced this this afternoon. That means that he is missing against Vitesse.
White got in the home game against FC Volendam red after a foul on Robert Mühren. He received a three-game suspension from the KNVB, one of which was conditional. AZ disagreed and appealed.
The disciplinary committee did not agree with their defense and upheld the suspension. As a result, De Wit was missing against RKC Waalwijk. AZ tried again to reduce the penalty requirement, the midfielder was able to play against PSV.
The football association decided on Friday not to adjust the penalty. De Wit will have to watch the next match against Vitesse (January 7) after the winter break.
