The Florida Panthers swept the Aho-led Carolina Hurricanes in four straight games.
– This is almost confusing, Aho said.
– So what just happened?
The fourth match followed a familiar pattern. The Hurricanes played quite well, but the Panthers won with a goal, this time with a score of 4–3.
Aho scored two assists in the Panthers series. In the last two matches, he missed power points.
– This is a tough place. It’s hard to give good answers right now.
“We learn from this”
The Hurricanes have won their division three times in a row and were one of the championship favorites, but the spring journey has always ended before the Stanley Cup finals.
– We were at the core. This could have gone the other way, coach Rod Brind’Amour comment.
– We took big steps this season. It’s pretty impressive that we made it this far with no missing pieces.
Piers with painting power Max Pacioretty and Andrei Svetshnikov were injured during the season and were out for the entire playoff spring.
