In my opinion, the word “appreciation” has been a bit overused lately. Often in connection with “lacking”.
But where the word combination really fits is here:
After their training and passing the exam, 262 young police officers are to be appointed police commissioners at a ceremony.
Your future working life will also be shaped by clothing regulations. For example, shoulder boards are part of the uniform.
But the Berlin police, under the leadership of their president, Barbara Slowik, did not manage to ensure that all 262 new police officers had these epaulettes on the day of their appointment. There simply weren’t any for 30.
Celebratory setting? A disgrace!
