This is how traveling is fun! The professionals of the Irons have arrived at the training camp in Austria. The first of two team buses drove up to the Wildkogel Resorts hotel on Monday at 3:12 p.m.
Coach Urs Fischer’s (56) team in Neukirchen am Großvenediger will be preparing for their fourth Bundesliga season until July 20th.
It was a relaxed journey for the team. We started in the morning with the second bus to BER Airport. From there the plane took off towards Salzburg. With a charter aircraft from “Air Alsie”, a Danish airline specializing in charter and business travel.
The plane flew specially from Sonderborg (on the German-Danish border) to Berlin (370 km) to pick up the Union travel group.
After a further 510 kilometers and a flight time of 69 minutes (source: flightradar24.com) the ATR72-500 propeller aircraft landed in Salzburg at 12:51 p.m. – where a team bus that had traveled the 740 kilometers from Berlin to Austria was already waiting. A second bus was also rented on site.
The plane immediately flew back to Denmark. The convoy needed almost two hours for the approximately 130 kilometers to the hotel.
