The Issue: Takeover Twitter

— In fifteen years, the idyllic village squares of Mark Zuckerberg and now Elon Musk have become drains where disinformation, manipulation and – often anonymous – intimidation abound, says former Member of Parliament Kees Verhoeven.

When taking over Twitter, Elon Musk argued that “freedom of speech is the foundation of a functioning democracy” and that “Twitter is the digital town square where matters of vital importance to humanity are discussed.”
