The ‘flex strobes’ can be placed anywhere. No permit is required for the mobile speed camera and the pole is powered by solar panels. In Bergen op Zoom, such a pole was placed at the intersection of Randweg West and Halsterseweg. There, an average of five motorists per day drove too fast.

Den Bosch
There was also a mobile speed camera on Sint Teunislaan in Den Bosch at the end of 2022. There were fewer speed cameras there: 149 cars drove too fast there in November and December.

In total, more than 402,000 cars in our province were flashed for speeding or driving through a red traffic light last year. Most times the camera was flashed because of too high a speed: 373,685 times. 28,363 times it involved driving through a red traffic light.
