Canada was waiting in the semi-finals – this team didn’t pose a problem for Hofmeister/Baumeister either. In the final it was against Austria. Against Alexander Payer and Sabine Schöffmann, however, a lead of 0.09 seconds was enough for victory. “It doesn’t get any better than that. A season finale couldn’t be better – and then at home. That was the icing on the cake”, said a beaming Hofmeister on ZDF.
Carolin Langenhorst and Yannik Angenend were eliminated in the round of 16. “We did our best but it wasn’t our ta todayg,” said Langenhorst.
