Snow Polo s St Mortiz, dates and tickets for 2024

Tfinding yourself at 1800 meters can already make your head spin: your gaze is lost on the snow-capped peaks, the crisp air inebriates every breath. But if, looking down, you are lucky enough to witness a Polo competition on the frozen lake, the emotion becomes difficult to contain. As every year, The Snow Polo World Cup returns to St. Moritz, in the Engadine, and this year it celebrates its anniversary 39th editionfrom 26 to 28 January 2024.

On the frozen lake, in the heart of the enchanted Engadine valley, the final preparations take place like a work of art awaiting the inauguration of the tournament. In addition to the 200 x 100 meter polo field, the grandstands, the Polo Village with various gazebos and stands, to a VIP tent with around 900 seatswill also be built tents for warming polo ponies on the frozen lake – an impressive engineering feat using around 3,900 tonnes of material.

Contrary to expectations of such a glamorous and adrenaline-filled event in one of the most exclusive mountain resorts in the world, Access to the event and the Polo Village is free. Of course, the “first come, first serve” rule applies. The Snow polo tournament action begins Friday 26 January with the first three matchesand culminates in Final on Sunday 28 January 2024 with all the glitz and glamor you expect from the only high-goal snow polo tournament in the world.
As usual, six high-profile teams are ready to engage in fierce competitionpromising viewers breathtaking moments and spectacular polo performances against the iconic backdrop of the mountains.

This year we will also see the entry into the arena of three new captains: Lidia Gauss (Team Mackage), Philipp Müller (Team Perrier-Jouët) e Jonathan Tidswell-Pretorius (Team St. Moritz). While the veterans return Melissa Ganzi (Team World Polo League), who became the first woman to win the prestigious tournament in 2019; Eduardo Greghi (Team The Kusnacht Practice) e Marc Ganzi (Team Flexjet).
