Telstar booked a solid 0-2 victory tonight when visiting Jong PSV. The White Lions kept a clean sheet for the second time this season, much to the satisfaction of trainer Mike Snoei. “You don’t want to play against these kinds of teams.”
Snoei saw that his team had a hard time against the promises from Eindhoven in the first twenty minutes and even had to take a shot at the post. “Last week I saw this team play against ADO in The Hague. They cut like a knife through the butter. They are very threatening, but luckily after the first fifteen minutes we took over well. We did that by being a bit more physical and a little more forward to defend,” said Snoei.

In addition to the victory, the trainer was enthusiastic about many more parts of his team. “We keep zero again. That is also nice for us and especially for goalkeeper Koeman Jr.”, says Snoei. “And that Yael Liesdek scores as ‘wingback’ is also great. And Delvechio Blackson did very well in the center back.”

Victim
At Telstar was next to match winner Christos Giousis David Min also plays an important role. The attacker was in the starting line-up for the second game in a row and was the victim of the penalty kick, giving Telstar the lead. The 23-year-old footballer from Zaandam missed a dot of an opportunity halfway through the first half. “I was completely free. I wanted to shoot in the short corner. The keeper was quick. But then you have to continue right away.”
