Snipes acquires streetwear retailer Shooster and expands to Croatia

Snipes continues to expand. With the takeover of the streetwear retailer Shooster, the German company enters the Croatian market.

Shooter operates 18 stores in Croatia, including in Zagreb, Split and Zadar. The rebranding of the stores has already begun, Snipes announced on Tuesday. In the future, the locations will be operated as Snipes branches. In addition, a separate Snipes online shop is to be launched for the market.

“It’s nice to see that Snipes has grown so much over the past two years, despite not always easy market conditions, and that after entering the Polish market we can already serve a second market in the CEE region in such a short time,” said Snipes- CEO Sven Voth. “We think big and see great growth potential for our brand in the coming years.”

Snipes pushes internationalization

At the beginning of March, Snipes announced the acquisition of US streetwear retailer Expressions. Last year, the company already secured the US sneaker retailer Jimmy Jazz and the Polish sneaker retailer Distance. With the current takeover, Snipes expanded its stores by around 250 locations within a year. In total, the company operates more than 680 stores in the USA and eleven European countries.
