Just in time for the start of the Berlin Fashion Week, the sneaker brand N91, based in the German capital, announces the opening of their own web shop and their first cooperation.
The N91 web shop, named after the postal code of the Mitte district, was launched a few weeks ago, the sneaker and shoe brand announced on Thursday. However, the celebrations will only take place during Berlin Fashion Week, because the brand is also presenting its collaboration with the Ethiopian shoe label Enzi there.
The Ethiopian shoe brand from Addis Ababa and the Berlin-based company have launched a four-piece sneaker collection after being introduced to each other by ex-model Waridi Schrobsdorff. Both brands are linked by sustainability, all N91 models have their origin in Europe and are manufactured in close cooperation with local producers, but also the sneaker culture. According to the announcement, the joint capsule should now unite them. The design and choice of materials represent the signature traits of the emerging Ethiopian fashion scene and were chosen by Enzi, while the silhouette of the sneakers harks back to N91.
On July 13, the sneaker brand celebrates its two milestones, but also paves the way for the students of the Berlin Academy for Fashion and Design. Works by the students who “have dealt with the sustainable approach of N91 in a creative way” will be exhibited at the event in the premises of the creative agency Tribes in Berlin-Mitte.
